Request for Comments on the Renewal of a Previously Approved Information Collection:
Schedule of Current Orderbook Construction
AGENCY: Maritime Administration, DOT.

ACTION: Notice.
SUMMARY: The Maritime Administration (MARAD) invites public comments on our
intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an
information collection in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The proposed
collection OMB 2133-0029 (Schedule of Current Orderbook Construction) is used to collect
information on the current construction orderbook at U.S. Shipyards. We are required to publish
this notice in the Federal Register to obtain comments from the public and affected agencies.
DATES: Comments must be submitted on or before [INSERT DATE 60 DAYS AFTER THE
DATE OF PUBLICATION IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER].

Type of Request: Extension without change of a Previously Approved Collection.
Abstract: In compliance with 46 U.S.C. 50102 (2007), the Merchant Marine Act of 1936, as
amended, MARAD conducts this survey to obtain information from the shipbuilding and ship
repair industry to be used primarily to determine if an adequate mobilization base exists for
national defense and for use in a national emergency.
Respondents: Owners of U.S. shipyards who agree to complete the requested information.
Affected Public: Business or other for profit.
